Bad hip and hard beds
We are traveling to Milan for the first time. I have a bad hip and hard beds just do me in for days. Does anyone have a recommendation regarding beds that don't feel like you are sleeping on a rock? I love Sheraton's heavenly beds. Thanks.

This is not about beds, but I've tried and do it even at home - a small pillow between your knees, so the hips stay all night at the proper angle, and you don't feel stiffness in the morning.
If you don't want to carry a pillow, use inflatable which you can blow up in the hotel room and adjust the softness.

Thanks. I checked out the Sheraton. They want $425.00 per night. Oh my goodness. I have tried pillows; it doesn't work, but thanks for the advice. I guess I'll just keep reading to see if anyone talks about the comfy beds and just book the room and hope for the best.

I stay in Greece every year in a place with hard beds. Last year I took a mattress topper (tempapedic copy from Walmart) and it made such a difference. A single topper, when taken out of the box, took up about half to three quarters of one case. If you take 2 bags / cases, you should be able to spare the room.
