B&B Recommendations Please :)

Hello! We are vacationing in Ireland at the end of April and I was hoping for some recommendations for B&B's in the different towns we will be staying in. We are not picky at all, just comfy and friendly is what we are looking for, and maybe closer to the town centers so that we can walk if we need to. The towns are as follows:
1. One night in Cahir
2. One night in Kenmare
3. Three nights in Dingle
4. One night in Doolin
Thank you so much!!!

Have you read the reviews of B&B's in these places on Trip Advisor? I used TA to find B&B's in Belfast, Malahide (outside of Dublin) and Kilkenny a couple years ago and all of them were great. I have done the same thing for our upcoming trip which includes Kenmare and Doolin. I get a sense of the place through the many reviews, then go to the B&B's website and finally email or call the owners to book.

While in Dingle you MUST stay at Pax House. We stayed there 2 nights in early October of 2010 and just loved it. John and his staff are amazing, the rooms are a very good size, rates are very reasonable,Rio the dog (unofficial greeter) is so sweet and the view from the breakfast room and back lawn are to die for! Pax House is only 1 klm for the center of Dingle so not right on top of all the tourist traffic (pedistrian) but not far out. You will not be disappointed. You can see my review and pictures at tripadvisor.com ENJOY!

We were in Ireland Sept.'10 and our favorite B & B's were www.greenmount-house.com in Dingle and www.shelburnelodge.com in Kenmare.

Greenmount was new and modern, with huge up to date rooms with a balcony overlooking the water(well, our room had a balcony)

Shelburne was just the opposite. It was like staying with a relative in an old Irish Manor House filled with antiques. A peat fire in the living room at night, it was a comfortable, lived-in house to enjoy and take you back to times past.

Both had modern bathrooms, extremely comfortable beds, and absolutely fantastic breakfasts. You could also walk to the restaurants and pubs from both.

Our favorite dinner in all of Ireland was at "Mulcahy's in Kenmare. In Dingle "Out of the Blue" was exceptional as was "The Chart House".

Hi Rochamal,

We have stayed at Castlewood House in Dingle. Its a large 4 star guesthouse in Dingle. Very nice and its about a 10 minute walk into town.. www.castlewooddingle.com

In Doolin we stayed at the Sea View House. Another 4 star property. Its located right in town and is very close to the O'Connor pub. www.seaview-doolin.ie

We did not get to see Kenmaew or Cahir.

Hope this helps.
