We stayed there one night, and yes, it is walking distance from the train station, but in the opposite direction from all the attractions in Florence.
It's not a B&B -- it's a Bed only with en suite bathroom facilities.
ira seems to love this place -- It wasn't my cup of tea. I would have preferred to stay closer to the downtown area. The rooms were on the 2nd floor of a busy street, and it was very noisy. It was clean, and the bathroom modern. There is no attendant on duty -- just a guy that comes to check you in/out from a podium and his cigar box.
If you're on a budget, you get what you pay for. Just MY personal opinion.

llcc--- you may want to investigate Soggiorno Pezzati at 22 via San Zanobi. I stayed there in Jan/Feb 2005 and liked it quite abit and will go back if I'm lucky enough to return to Florence.
Very walkable from the train station, quiet sleeping, inexpensive and clean with frig and tea kettle and perhaps a little closer to the sights in that very walkable city. lynda
