We just got back from staying there. We liked it very much. Everything was brand new, it had double windows to keep the noise out, and Air Conditioning!!! It's a bit of a walk to the train station, but from the train station it's only a short walk to the main tourist destinations. There are also a couple bus lines close by. It doesn't serve breakfast, but there's a bar on the corner about 20 feet away that does, and a small grocery store nearby. For a lot more detail, see my trip report that is on this site, partially finished, (but at least the Florence part is complete!) I highly recommend B&B Cassia!

Hi everybody!
My travel partner and I stayed at B&B Cassia while we in Florence this June. About the location, it certainly isn't the best. Its still within walking distance from Florence's city centre, but it is quite a long walk... around 15-20 minutes depending on how fast you walk?

Despite that, we were happy to return to our room at the end of each day because it was just very cosy and comfortable.
I've posted photos of our room and a short write-up about our experience with B&B Cassia here: http://www.space.per.sg/italy04/florence.htm

Very cheap!! E 64 per night, very clean, adequate. a 10-15 min walk north from the train station, which was a bit of a pain because once we left in the morning, we stayed out all day, since the hotel was so far away from the central sites. In retrospect, I wish that I had paid a little more for a hotel that was more central, so we could have dropped by the hotel during the day, instead of being gone for 12 house. Thats just me though, and you can't beat the price in Florence!!
