b&b in florence

We are traveling to Italy in early May. I was wondering if anyone has heard of or stayed at b&b in Florence called "Antica Posta"? If so, please review. I can't find a single review on google or yahoo search. Also, would love to get b&b suggestions for Venice, Rome, and Cinque Terre and details of accommodations. We are definitely looking for only b&bs w/bathroom/shower in the room. Would love a room that is quiet. This is a honeymoon trip. Thanks!

Hi pka,

Not familiar with "Antica Posta".

We did stay at the B&B Peterson in Florence and can recommend it highly.

Ensuite shower and toilette. New plumbing. AC that works. Very clean. Fluffy towels.

See my trip report for more details.

Thanks Ira. I will definitely check out b&b Peterson in Florence. It sounds like the place. I will also read about your trip on the link as well as view your photos. Seems you have quite a following on the message board. This is my first posting and I would appreciate any info you or anyone else out there could give me for b&bs in the other areas I listed (Venice, Rome and Cinque Terre). Thanks.

Hi pka,

I have not been there, but have heard good things about http://www.veniceby.com/campaniel/pages/booking.htm

Also look for accomodations at www.venere.com

Have a lovely honeymoon.

Antica Posta is a bit out of the way, IMO.

Soggiorno Antica Torre is directly on Piazza della Signoria and is reasonably priced. It is family run and clean and the rooms are spacious with new baths.

We stayed twice and enjoyed our stay. The least expensive room is the Ivory Room and it is quite comfortable.
