attractions between Frankfurt and Amsterdam

If someone wanted to drive from Frankfurt to Amsterdam, what would be a suggested route (I assume, along the Rhine River) and attractions/towns to visit on the way.

Obviously, along the Rhein. Perhaps a detour from Koblenz along the Mosel, at least part of it; Cologne.
