We're talking about a couple of cents or in most cases, fractions of a cent difference.
But there is a difference as far as I can tell.
It seems HSBC ones fractions of a cent above the interbank rate published for a given date while the ones in Italy are about a couple of cents above those rates.
Can end up being a few dollars when you pay the hotel bill or buy something fairly expensive in euros.

My daily limit at my bank is $1000 but on my recent trip I found that some bank machines would limit you to $250 withdrawl per transaction. My bank charges $3 service fee per transaction so it gets expensive unless you can find a bank that will let you take out more. Will the apartment not let you pay by bank draft?...or Euro Travelers cheques. I usually don't do travelers cheques but it might be a solution if they will accept them.
