ATM's in Praiano/Positano?

Location? Any hints or suggestions about which to use?
Ira - if you have this in your report, I have already copied it and then whittled it down to what I thought I needed - and maybe I whittled it away! Also, is Termini a good place to use the ATM? We are coming from there to Naples and need to stock up to pay hotel in cash etc.
We're leaving here May 6 so I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row.

Thanks,
Brahmama / Carol

Well, I'm not Ira, but I know there are a number of ATM's in Positano and two that I know of in Praiano. I haven't seen an ATM at Termini but there may be one, there are alot of banks in Rome though that have ATM's.

The location of the ATM's in Positano are on the main walkway down towards the main square, you'll see them on your righthand side.

There is one ATM right on the main road in Praiano and one that is up the road past the busstop.

Hi mama,

As SU says, there are ATMs in Praiano.

The website for Naples Centrale shows only a currency exchange - open 08:00-20:00.

You can find the ATMs at Rome TE at http://www.romatermini.it/indexf.cfm
click services, click on "banks".

Thanks SeaUrchin and Ira! Just what I needed to know.

I'll check the website to get the location of the ATM's in the Termini.,

If you read my old report from March 2002, you may remember that we had a VERY traumatic experience at Termini, when my husband got on the train (thinking I was already on it, or at least that is what he TELLS me - although he had the passports, the money, the itinerary, etc etc) and I stood there with all the luggage like a daft puppet waiting for him to return from the telephone. He *did* finally realize I wasn't on the train and took another train back. By that time I was a familiar figure having gone to every possible place for assistance.
So I want to GET IN and GET OUT on the right train this year1

One more question - that has nothing to do with ATM's. I have read that the weather will be cooler in May than before. Any insight on that?

Well, one MORE question. Did either of you eat at the Trattoria next to the church in Praiano? It looks closest to the hotel from the limited map that I have.

Thanks, as always,

Carol / Brahmama

Hi Mama, yes I have eaten there a few times, I loved their pizza and there is a nice little outdoor area with some views down to the sea. Some of the local families eat there - actually more locals than tourists.

Yes, but much preferred the 2 places in my trip report.
