Athens hotels
We will be in Athens at the end of June and as expected hotels have limited availability. We need a hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of our trip. Looking for somewhere clean and reasonably priced, close/convenient to the main sights (either walking or metro) I have found rooms at the following:
Astor Hotel- cheapest
Herdion hotel - artound 300 Eur for 2 rooms
Athens Imperial - do they allow 3 kids in one room?
Hotel Poseidon - how far is it from the sights?
The only reason for looking at the Poseidon is that we're taking a charter boat from the marina across the street. Any comments on any of the hotels? We have 3 kids: 15, 10, 6. the Astor looks like a tight hotel with little room for 3 kids to be in.
The Athens Imperial web site does not allow booking a tripple room, does anyone know if that's available? A pool would be nice but not cricial.
At the end of the charter week, we will stay at the Divani Palace in Vouliagmeni. It looks great on the web and we have read great reviews, but is it kid friendly?
Has anyone had any experience with Easy Sailing, the boat chartering company?
Any advice would be welcome.

Poseidon is in Kalamaki and has even a private beach. It is a renovated hotel well managed.
Herodion is excellent (clean rooms, food and service) with owners trained in Ecole Hotelière de Glyon-Swiss),just e few yards from the Acropolis and Plaka.
Astor just ok near Syntagma.
Divani Apollon is kid friendly but you need to book two connecting rooms.

on the hotels you ask about, I'd pick the Herodian. as mzani says, it is a nice hotel and very near the Akropolis and a metro stop
marginal, you should know that the metro is actually about 1 km away from the intercontinental, which some people wouldn't consider to be nearby the hotel
