Wonderful exhibit! We walked right in late morning in June. When we left about 1.5 hrs. later, there was a line waiting to get in. Heartily recommend this experience.

Bookmarking for our upcoming trip! Looks like fun! And an excuse to get into a less visited part of town.

Check out La Zingherie, just around the corner from the exhibit on the rue du Chemin Vert, for a light lunch or snack after your visit.

I just found this post. Thank you so much Kerouac! I didn't know it existed in Paris. I will arrive December 5th for 6 weeks. Here's hoping there's a new exhibit and not a long winter break. Their website still doesn't have anything for after the current Klimt. Again, thank you Kerouac!

I doubt if they will give information very much ahead of time, and I wouldn't either. If I were selling the Klimt show, I wouldn't announce that the next one is Van Gogh or Picasso, because some people might say, "oh I'll wait for that instead."

Kerouac, I'll bet you are correct. It wouldn't be smart marketing to announce the next artist too far in advance. I think I saw Picasso advertised at Les Baux when I drove by this summer. I did not stop to view the exhibit as I just thought it was a tourist trap sort of thing. Had I read this post beforehand, I definitely would have gone in. I'm glad I'll have a second chance to enjoy such a wonderful experience this winter no matter the artist! This will be my third extended winter stay in Paris for 3 years running. People I know here in rural America just can't imagine what keeps me in Paris for so many weeks. There are new things, old things to revisit and just living life in a city for the senses that keeps me coming back!

Just for others casually reading this thread, the location at Les Baux is much more impressive -- it is a huge underground quarry, at least 5 times bigger than the Atélier des Lumières. But it's isolated, you need a car... the place in Paris is just so much more convenient. The only thing that worries me a bit is that I have read something about at least 5 other cities where this attraction is planned. If it becomes really common, it won't seem nearly as interesting anymore.

Glad that this thread popped up again.
Will be in Paris next week, and this will be on my list.
Thanks!
