Some signs one will encounter tooling around the countryside:
That is one STEEP road (its in the Yorkshire Moors and when yu get to the bottom it is 1:4 up the other side OMG)
Not on that 1 in 3 road
Don't you just hate when your Bollards rise?
This is pretty common -- the first time you see it . . . don't panic.
I've always wondered what that extra limb is supposed to be
Every time I see this I read "Police" - but nope - its 'Polite'

We had a gorgeous sunset this evening which got me to thinking . . . Here are some miscellaneous sunsets in the UK
From Fionnphort on Mull towards Iona
Same
On Skye
Skye
More Skye
Loch Ard in the Trossachs
Kelso Abbey
Arran
London/St Paul's
St Paul's & the OXO Tower
Parliament & Big Ben (pre-scaffolding)
St Martin's in the Field (not sunset but close enough)
And two off-topic, non sunset-y shots:
Queen Elizabeth and Philip arriving at the Lyceum Theatre for 'Hey Mr. Producer' Charity Gala, June 1998
Crail Harbor/Harbour

Photos from the general Trossachs / Loch Lomond region. These mostly aren't 'gobsmacking gorgeous' shots but are general photos of an area of Scotland where my family and I have spent many weeks over the years and was just our special corner of the country (even scattered my parents ashes there because they loved it so much)
Lake of Menteith & the Lake Hotel (my parent's favorite hotel in Scotland)
Directly across the water is Inchmahome Island/Priory of which there are a few shots up thread.
Another view of the Lake of Menteith
Stirling Castle taken on a glorious early November day - the next morning it snowed!
A view from Stirling Castle with the neon colored rapeseed fields
Moonrise on Loch Lomond
Loch Ard with Ben Lomond in the distance
Another Loch Ard/Ben Lomond. View from the jetty across the lane from a place we rented 6 or 7 times.
Loch Ard
Just down the road from 'our place' on Loch Ard.

Covent Garden, 1972
I've been scanning and trying to resurrect images from old slides and prints and thought people might enjoy seeing some pictures of the old Covent Garden produce and flower market taken in 1972. The market was relocated in 1974 and the site transformed into a "festival marketplace" along the lines of many inner-city markets at that time.
These pictures were made as slides, but many have faded or have become tinted, so I saved them as black and white images. I don't think it spoils the mood, maybe it improves it. They were all taken around dawn, so some are blurry due to the poor light conditions.
Eliza Doolittle was nowhere to be seen.
