Area and where to rent a villa
I would like for my family and I to travel to Italy next year and rent a small villa for a couple of weeks.(7 adults and 2 children)
Would someone please tell me the best time to go, a reasonable price, who to contact for rental and the best area around Tuscany?
Thanks for info. Cherry

I don't think there's any "best area" in Tuscany. I personally think it's all convenient. Best time to go is spring or fall.

Start at slowtrav.com to learn tons about how to rent and many reviews of rental properties. I prefer May or early Oct. for Tuscany and the prices are not peak then. Before you go too far decide the area you want, the price range you can tolerate, and the bed to bath ratio--that will limit your search parameters since there are many options.

I see that you have asked basically the same question twice, and this one is attracting more "traffic" - - so I will repeat (even though someone has already mentioned slowtrav.com)
For a first-time renter - - and maybe for an nth-time renter - - I would recommend going through a company with a good and reliable reputation. I have used these three, and no regrets with any of them:
www.domani-usa.com
www.rentvillas.com
and
www.regencyintapts.com
www.theparkercompany.com also has a high reputation - - for delivering very good properties (perhaps at very high prices).
Second, get as much specific RECENT info as you can get - - and there might be no better source for info than www.slowtrav.com
I have only rented once in Tuscany - - and while we were pleased with the property (specifically, the price and the features; there were 14 of us), I would probably not recommend its location. In Ambra, near Bucine, east of Siena -- too far away and too far south for most people's tastes.
Best wishes,
Rex

csgmentor-Take a look at a1vacations.com
We found our villa Podere Le Monache located in Iano, Montaione Italy. It was just 15 minutes outside of San Gimignano. It consisted of about four diffrent apartments in an old villa with a beautiful pool. We rented out all the units and they were beautiful. Each one had either 2 or 3 bedrooms and could accomodate about 25 people. After just coming back from our villa in France (which I liked) I realize again how much I loved the one in Italy.
