Kim - do you live in Spain? Of all my years posting (I had a different name prior to this one and have been on the boards since 2007 ) I think you honestly give some of the best, most detailed advice. Appreciate you!

he-he, I don't live in Spain, but I go as often as possible and get serious cultural abstinence symptoms if I haven't been in a while.

reporting back...I would HIGHLY recommend the apartment we rented. It was PERFECT for us... it was a truly lovely 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment. It was in an exceptional neighborhood, exceptional service. It was SO quiet but close enough to things... I really loved it. I would stay there in a heartbeat again and the service was exceptional.

We are currently in Seville and our apartment is SO noisy I am not sure how I am going to take it... it is midnight here and it sounds like there is a HUGE party in the street - horns beeping, (we are on a pedestrian only street? (confusing) we are on the 8th floor and it it pretty bad... It not going to make for a pleasant stay for us...

Ummmm I am reporting back.. I am not sure how noisy this apartment would normally be... there was a very large soccer match tonight and they won so they are celebrating big time in the streets... I will report back on a "normal" night... but as of 1:00 am party is going strong!

Sevilla won the European League final against Portuguese Benfica on Wednesday night, so that was a really special one. You live exactly at Puerta de Jerez, and that's where people meet to celebrate such major triumphs. The local newspaper Diario de Sevilla wrote the next day of "The Party that never stops": http://www.diariodesevilla.es/articl...a/no/cesa.html

The celebrations outside your apartment on the news: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNj2yrL7PSE#t=35

Sevilla is finishing a very successfull season home against Elche on Sunday at 9pm, so there might also be celebrations of the team after that, especially given their recent great triumph. And Puerta de Jerez is the place. Perhaps join the celebrations ;-)

Kim,

It is so stinkin' funny! I thought...wow this is some party block ;-) - I caught on after a while and have some classic videos from my phone. It was indeed RIGHT below our apartment.

Yesterday they had a large parade down the street right below us with the players - went on for hours - It was indeed the party that never stopped It was after 3:00 am when I was finally able to go to sleep - and it was still going strong.

Happy to report for those coming to the apartment that last night was quiet - so it is not a "normal" noise issue

Over all the Madrid apartment was better for us for a variety of reasons but the location here is excellent - very easy to get any place.

How exciting, Momddtravel2!
People warble on about wanting to "live like the locals " - and you did!

Then the team parade probably is done and over, and things will perhaps be quieter at Puerta de Jerez after the final match of the season on Sunday.

Vivid phone videos, and now you're more or less bound to keep an extra eye on the Sevilla soccer team in the future ;-)

Momddtravel2 - I have booked the Lope de Vega II apartment for next year (well, it is on hold). Could you give me a little more info on the area and how much you liked it here? Thanks.

One more question: Would it be adequate for two couples? Oops, one more question...Does the second bathroom have a shower?
