Apartment in Venice
We are staying 1 week on Amalfi Coast , 1 week in Tuscany and 3 days in Venice (flying to Rome, departing from Venice) from October 4th to 21st. I rented nice villas on the Coast and in Tuscany.
Here comes Venice. There are 10 of us - 7 adults and 3 children. I sent emails to every single company who rents apartments in Venice
Most cannot accommodate such a big group, some are extremely expensive and filled with antics (I would not want to be responsible for a broken vase, which my child can accidentally push off the table).
However, I did get some offers.
Please, tell me if someone ever dealt with a company Venicebooky?
Here is a link to the apartment a have been offered:
http://www.venicebooky.com/sanmarco/sanluca/index.htm
Anyone stayed there? Does it look OK? What are these cardboard pieces next to the staircase? Doesn't it look like a dormitory with no furniture, except beds?
I am not trying to find anything fancy, but I wouldn't want to find myself in the hole with my kids and friends.

I've never dealt with Venice Booky, but we recently had fabulous service with Venice Rentals. Did you try them?
They are on the web at venicerentals.com or by email at [email protected]. Just another suggestion.
Good luck...I hope you find what you are looking for!

Ah, I also misread your message (or actually read your typo as it was written) calling antiques -- antics. I thought you meant that the companies were pulling "antics" by requiring you to pay if something was broken.
