Apartment in Rome and Venice

Can anyone recommend an apartment for a family in both Rome and Venice? We are looking to stay three nights in each in April. Thanks.

5 adults and one child. We can rent either one large apartment or two smaller ones near each other. Budget: No more than a total of $350 a night (in total for the whole party). Thanks.

Have you tried searching here for apartment reviews?

I also recommend www.slowtrav.com. They have a section devoted to apartment reviews.

I can personally recomment www.dolceroma.com. We rented through her for a week in Rome a couple of years ago, and had an excellent time without any problems.

Good luck!

We had a very nice stay a few years back in this convenient and spacious apartment in the very pleasant Caelio district. There is a street market on the next block -and supermarkets, butcher stores and bakeries very close as well, for easy living. its around the corner from the San Clemente church and close to the Colosseum too. Dealings with the english owner were cordial.

I dont know what her policy is on short stays - paying for a week may be cheaper - in both places - than paying for hotels for a group your size.
