Apartment in Amsterdam?

Has anyone rented an apartment in Amsterdam? I'd just want it for a week or so in the spring and would appreciate any suggestions of rental companies, etc.

Here's one I've been trying to use. It wasn't available the time I needed it though:

What a coincidence- I just got a confirmation to stay there for a week this spring. Now we are quickly trying to make up our mind whether to stay there or in a hotel. I am not quite sure where it is located in relationship to canals, museums, etc. I can't make the map feature on the website work.

Here's a site that features a lot of houseboats, which I've always thought would be immensely cool:

Also try this agency for a very diverse range of apartments:

Hi! Check out www.amsterdamescape.com. I use them every year. VERY nice places at very reasonable prices. I just rented an apartment for 7 days, sleeps 13 people, for 700USD! Unheard of. And the apartments have all amenities. The people are very helpful as well. Have fun!
