Anyone using the new disposable video camera?
From CVS (no, I don't work for them). This new travel camera looks just wonderful. You get a home theater experience and it fits into a shirt pocket. No x-ray worries, no neckstrap, and no big deal if you lose it (it's under $30).
Would be interested if anyone here has used this (or plans to). Reviews?

$40+ dollars for 20 minutes of video? You can buy a proper MiniDV camcorder for just over $200, and MiniDVs cost <$3 for 90 minutes of video.
If you need the video straight onto DVD, there are many DVD camcorders costing just over $400.
If it's for 2 hours, then I think it's fine. But 20 minutes? Plus, WSJ reviewed it yesterday and reported poor quality indoors (or under dim lighting).

They'll get used at more weddings, bar mitzvahs, third grade pageants, dog and pony shows than you can shake a stick at.
And yes, I might take one to Europe.
I wish that I could have had a half dozen of them to distribute to selected guests at the wedding of our first daughter.
Best wishes,
Rex
