Anyone use Chez Vous recently?
Just wondering if anyone has used Chez Vous to rent a Paris apartment recently? I know they are much pricier than most of the options out there, but we need a 2 bedroom and would like to be in a very specific area around St Germaine des Pres. Most of the ones on VRBO we liked are already taken (for September) and most of the other websites I've seen they're too far from where we want to stay. I've been to Paris 4 times, this time with the baby, and with such a short stay and wanting to pop out quickly at night for dinner at some of our favorite restaurants (with the other couple doing babysitting) we really are being specific about where we want to stay.
Some of the older posts talk about them charging additional rental fees, and one very old post from 2000 mentioned some complaints about them. I haven't seen anything negative about them, other than their prices.
Thanks for the help, folks.

I don't know your price range, but you may want to take a look at www.paristays.com, which is reputable and has some gorgeous apts. in great Left Bank locations. Website has photos and prices and they can also book sitters for you.

I used Chez Vous two years ago for a delightful flat in St Germain area---the experience with them was positive and we loved our place and location (on rue Augustine, I believe--an area with many restaurants and near the Seine). This was a one bedroom with pull out couch in living/dining area. Based on my experience, I'd use them again.

Can't comment specifically on Chez Vous, but having recently completed an exhautive (close to obsessive!) search for 2 bedroom apartments I found that many properties are listed by multiple agencies, and that the cost can vary quite widely based on the agency fees.
Some places that looked decent: http://www.vacationrentals.com/vacat...als/18799.html

Thanks for the info, everyone. I love the vibe of the Chez Vous apartments we're looking at but they have a very strict payment policy in US dollars, long before you arrive, and NO refunds. Period. Not that I think we're going to cancel, but you never know. Just think they're a bit strict on that. Then again, they were apparently recommended in Bon Appetit a couple years ago and so they don't really have to worry about their flats going empty.
Anyway, I may end up using them, but will continue my search with the choices you've given.
And SEAMUS, yes, let's take a deep breath and say "close to obsessive" together.
It's so much fun (but so much work) finding the right accommodation in Paris. I have always (pre-baby) stayed on Quai Voltair right on the river and that has always been "the" Paris experience for me. But this time will be a little different, and that's OK too.

We stayed at Citadines St Germain and ran into a woman in the elevator who had a baby. It is very convenient to many restaurants and has a pretty nice laundryroom. I don't know if they have 2 bedroom apts but they do have a 1 bedroom with a sleeper sofa in the living room.
