Anyone travel on Virgin to London City Airport?
I was disappointed when Virgin Express posted that they would no longer travel to London Heathrow. But, I recently went to their website, and it said that they now travel to the London City Airport.
Is anyone familar with this airport? How far away is it from London?

I fly Virgin also and just went to their website and saw nothing about LONDON city airport-
I don't know where you are flying from but JFK still goes to Heathrow, and Dulles goes to Heathrow..
And they still fly into Gatwick-
UNLESS they have not updated the website that I was on...
The only airport servicing London are Heathrow,Gatwick and Stansted...and when I checked Stansted, it did not list Virgin Atlantic...their code is VS...
Where did you see this????
If you can post the link, that sure would be helpful.....

I did not know that Virgin Express flew to London City. London City Airport is the most convenient airport to the Docklands, City of London, and places like the Tower of London and the Greater London Assembly Bldg (I don't know the exact name, but it's the glass egg by Tower Bridge).
There is no tube station at the airport. There is at least 1 bus, but I forgot the number. Taxis to the Docklands won't cost much.
It's a nice, small airport with few crowds. There are lots of businessmen and few backpackers. London City Airport has a website. I looked at it about a year ago. It has transport information.

Virgin Express and Virgin Atlantic are two different lines like United and United Express - Virgin Express does use London City -- Which is a terrifically convenient airport. Much closer to many parts of London than any of the others.
