Anyone stay at Pensione Panda?
I saw this hotel recommened on this website, so I tried to do some research on it. There website doesn't provide much information - is there a minibar/small fridge included? It also didn't mention any other amenities included.
Anyone have some pictures of there stay at this hotel? I've only found a small one of the bed, but nothing else.
Most people said it was really small - anyone want to guess at the approx. square footage, jsut so I can have an idea of how small the room was?

I've stayed at Panda I guess three times and have booked it for a few nights in April. Rooms are small, but clean and inexpensive. The location can't be beat. Take the Metro from the station and get off at Spagna. Its about a two block walk. Across the street is one of the best wine bars in Rome and Fiaschetteria Beltrame is right downstairs for the best abbachio scotaditta (sp?).

The room sized vary depending on type of bed, whether there's a bath included, etc. Our room had a Queen bed, two night stands, an armoire, and a bathroom. Not as large as a standard American rooms but we weren't crowded. Some friends had a room with a set of bunk beds - no bath. That one was small but they were teens so it didn't bother them. Another couple had a room with two twins that also had other furniture. None of us had a fridge. Bathrooms were nice with shower, bidet (waste of space for us), etc. No shampoo, lotion, hairdryer, etc. Towels were fine - terry, and not see-through. Lots of marble everywhere. For the price, it's very nice. If you're going in summer, there's no AC. There was a fan in the room but it was still really, really hot!

We stayed at the Panda in August. Another time we went in June and stayed in the Pantheon B&B with no AC and it was also unbearable! However, this past summer, early June was unbearable almost everywhere you went so you never know. If you're not tolerant of heat, don't stay there in the summer. We also stayed at the Hotel Smeraldo near the Campo de Feori. Hotel was not a nice but it did have AC and it was a great location. Doesn't cost much more than the Panda.
