Anyone ever used Travel by Fingertip?
This is our first trip to Europe June/2204 and we thought a booking agency would help us in hotel choices and reservations. This agency was once called European Horizons, Inc. They are based in Port Chester, NY. It seems that some Fodorites live in or near NYC and might have used this agencey. The owner is Robert Weingrad.
Hotel prices quoted:
London- Millennium Knightsbridge $240
Venice- Pensione Accademia $240
Florence- Della Signoria $225
San Gimignano Hotel L/ Pozzo $245
Rome_Hotel Due Torri $226
Breakfast in included.
Do these quotes seem appropriate for the busy season? We have to go at this time because I teach school.
As someone stated earlier, this website is a gold mine. I rush in the door from school to read all the new entries.
Thanks so much.

Your post is actually a two part question.
You will maybe have people familiar with this agency answer. They can give you an idea of service, travel choices presented etc.
But, the hotel part might not get a response if you would like people who have stayed in these hotels and a comparison of what they paid at the same time, which may be helpful.
Did you check the individual websites of these properties to see what they are offering for rates at this time?
Also, tripadvisor.com will list various places.
At any rate, my post will bring your question to the top once again.
I know at least two of your hotels have been mentioned many times by posters.
Try doing a search here.
Good Luck!

An alternate strategy, and one many people here use, is to e-mail the various hotels directly (provided you can get their e-mail adress..sometimes these are listed on the websites) and ask them for your best rate for the timeframe you are interested in.
Deal;ing directly by e-mail with hotels is efficient and you have a written record of their offer and acceptance, etc., if needed.
It takes a bit more time than going throuhg a travel agency or a booking service but sometimes it will pay off in lower rates.

I don't know anything about Travel by Fingertips, but you got a very good hotel selection. They are all are well located, and the rates are fair. I wouldn't say a steal, but perfectly fair, or at least, what you'd be paying by booking yourself, without the hassle.
