Anyone ever use SkyAuction?
I was looking at their site, and while the deals they had didn't seem really mind-blowing, once you include all the fees, they did seem pretty good in many cases.
I'm just wondering if this is one of those things that you buy the tickets and every time you try to fly its "Oops, sorry but no seats".
So, does anyone have any first hand experience with this?

I have used them for a number of flights, usually to Europe. While I have not gotten exactly what I wanted in every case I have never had a problem getting something was acceptable. My only hesitation in giving them a "rave" review is that more people would use them and make it harder for me to get good deals.

I've bought Transatlantic tickets (Virgin) on them before. I had an emergency, and was able to cancel the flights, though I had a bit of back-and-forth between Skyauction and Virgin. In the end, it worked though, and I was impressed by their service.

I've used them for transatlantic flights and once for a cruise over New Years. I've been very happy. They are a travel agency, so if you call them, sometimes they can be very helpful. For example, once I won two round trip tickets to Munich. My out-laws decided they wanted to accompany us. I called skyauction and they added two more tickets to our bid for an extra $25 each. I thought that was pretty good.
Just be careful and don't get caught up in the bidding. Know your maximum with all their extra fees, then limit yourself. I found that bids closing on Friday late afternoon/evenings were were good because most people have left work for the weekends. Seems like a lot of bidding from work.
