dejahma,

I was able to snag 2 tickets for $250 including the tax and the fees and the Fed Ex for the paper tickets. We frantically tried to get a hold of my in-laws. By the time we reached them, the fare had been pulled!

I called BA and they said that we are confirmed. Yoohoo! I couldn't believe it. Honestly, I was prepared for them to say that they were cancelling our tickets. I think it's a fabulous act of good will and marketing.

The only thing is that our itinerary starts with Delta to JFK and my AmEx bill shows the ticketer is Delta. I don't know if I should be concerned about that. I wonder how many people got this crazy airfare?

Count me as another lucky one. I snagged to tickets from Miami to Amsterdam in April for 211.88 (tickets 20 ea, taxes 171.88 for 2 tix) I was in such shock I couldn't remember how to sign in to Expedia. I was halfway through setting up a new account when I remembered my password for my old account. I had about 5 ticket searches minimized at the bottom of the screen hoping one of them wouldn't time out. At that point I was pulling out every card from my wallet including a Marshalls gift card and a Chevron card just trying to recognize my debit card.(LOL) A co-worker who happened to be on with me got 2 tickets to Rome from Miami for 183.74 (again 20 per tix, 143.74 taxes) We did manage to contact about 5 other people before the tickets went back to normal fares. A foolish friend had Miami to Paris in late March and spent too much time trying to figure out if he could pass up an exam in March. Needless to say he isn't going to Paris. Just for the record, someone told me it was happening on Orbitz too, but not the actual BA website. I apoligize for not getting to Fodors but we must have been in at the tail end because it didn't last long. Here's wishing good luck for all in the future.
