Any great hotel/chateau in So.France to recommend?
My husband's 40th is coming up and I'd like to take him somewhere not too cold (November...) and was thinking about the southern half of France. We live in Paris and that's do-able for a 3 day weekend. Does anyone have any great hotels/chateaux to recommend? I am looking for something with a restaurant, if possible. Relais & Chateau is as high a price as I can go. Thanks for any personal recommendations.

One of my all-time favorites is the Chateau de Rochegude, about 10-15 miles northeast of Orange. It's located on many acres of lovely grounds, and it has an excellent restaurant. Rooms are very nice also. It's such a wonderful, relaxing place, I wanted to stay much longer.
