ANOTHER question about trenitalia
I went to trenitalia to purchase our train tickets. I was able to buy the tickets for Rome to Florence no problem. But when I tried to buy the tickets for Florence to Venice, it says NO next to every train... any reason?

I think I may have found the answer (or at least it dawned on me).... I'll be in going from rome to florence March 13th... ut going to venice March 16th... maybe you can only book 60 days in advance, which would explain that...

Hi Itilley, I have reserved tickets on the treitalia website but many Fodorites have said that the tickets can only be reserved 60 days in advance so your thought was correct. Enjoy beautiful Italy!

Hi...I am traveling to Italy for the month of March. I am going to fly in to Venice and then take the train from Venice to Florence which will be my home base. I did a trial run on the trenitalia and it would not let me do my transactions. Do you know if trenitalia takes American Express?
