Another Paris Apartment ? VRBO

I know questions regarding Paris apartments has been "done to death" but please bear with me. Somewhere in postings a fellow Fodorite mentioned having rented VRBO 23511 or another apartment in the same building, I've tried to find the post but not having any luck so...can anyone help me out? I'd love to hear from anyone who has stayed in this particular building. Thanks in advance.

vrbo and craigslist are not the best places to book

fake reviews many scammers tax cheats

never wire money always pay with CC

parisbestlodge.com good personal experience and reviews here

Good luck beware dog poop land mines in the Marais...

You would save our time if you would post the URL or tell us the street and neighborhood. The way this is posted, we have to go to VRBO and enter the number to find out if we have rented it. Too much work.

I think you're thinking of me. We have rented www.vrbo.com/22038 for late September/early October. This apartment is also listed at www.rentparisapart.com . It's apartment SMG2 on that site.

I found a generally good review from last year on a Trip Advisor forum:

Here's my earlier thread:

I'm very pleased so far with the communications I've had with the apartment owner/manager (not sure which). She seems very professional and has answered all my questions. We're looking forward to our stay, and will report on the apartment when we return in October.

Thanks very much for the helpful hints, this will be my 10th visit to Paris and I have rented thru agencies and VRBO several times, the last VRBO rental was 12.2010, maybe I've just been extremely lucky but have had no problems at all with any rental however, I would never go thru Craigs List. I was looking for a specific posting and yes MaineGG, yours was the one I was hoping to come across again. This is the location and apartment I was hoping to find, thank you so much for the links. I will be going later so would love to hear your views when you return. I plan to get in contact with the owner/manager soon.

Have a great trip in September.

This will be my 10th visit, too, but only the second apartment rental in Paris. Like you, we've been really lucky with our rentals so far (I'm touching wood as I say this), but each time it's a bit of a leap of faith.

I'm really looking forward to being in a different part of town for a change.

I've rented at least 8 apartments, a few thru VacationInParis and a few thru VRBO and have been lucky. Had one cruddy experience with a VIP rental, was filthy, but I called them and they had us moved within 12 hours, was a hassle but they took care of the problem so I highly recommend them also.

MaineGG, I did send an email to the manager of the VRBO apt. and am waiting for a reply. I think it looks like a great deal for the price.
