Amusement parks in Switzerland?
Hi - does anyone know of any amusement parks (similar to a Hershey Park or Disney kind of park) in Switzerland? We go to Switzerland every other year and would like to include a day at an amusement park for the children if there is one. Thank you.

There aren't any in Switzerland but 1/2 hour north of Basel is Europapark (in Rust, Germany). The amusement park is divided up by European sections. There is Norway, Greece, Spain, Russia (I know..not Europe), Switzerland, France, Africa (not Europe) and England. You can spend the night in one of the three hotels on the grounds, which are very good.
We've been there five times. My children love it and so do we. The rides are sensational, the gladiator show is terrific, the ice show and the 3D film is also worth seeing. They have dance shows or entertainment in different parts of the park. It's very clean and the price is right, too!

P.S. Avoid weekends during the summer because the lines are sooo long!

For a smaller park inside Switzerland, you can visit Connyland. They claim to be the biggest amusement park in Switzerland. Could be the truth. They are located in Lipperswil, Thurgau.

It's a nice park but not like Disneyland or Europapark.

Hi quilter,
Well, there's a water park on Lake Geneva:

There's also a miniature-railway park nearby:

Good luck!

Not exactly what you're asking but I've been to two nice outdoor pools in the summertime in Switzerland, Montreux area. I enjoyed both a fancier one at the Casino/hotel (day pass) or another municipal style pool nearby (less fancy but very nice). Both were completely family friendly and extremely popular with local kids and families, snack bars, lawns, etc.
