Amsterdam restaurant near Renbrandt House?

Can anyone suggest a cafe or restaurant in Amsterdam that is near the Rembrandt House Museum? I need to find a place that's open for lunch, as I'm planning to meet some friends after they visit the Rembrandt House. Any suggestions???? Thanks!

Near Rembrandt house I donot know any restaurants. But walk to Rembrandtsplein, which is not too far out and you find variuous restaurants that are open for lunch.

I don't have names for anything, but there is a characteristic 'pub' kind of place directly across - I think it used to be a 'guard house' or toll building or something like that. I see it in photos fairly often. If we can't come up with the name for that, there is a cafe of somekind a door or two over, same block, also across from the Rembrandthuis where we sat outside and just had coffees. It seems like it was a lunch kind of place.

Hi, marybethcl!

There is a really good cafe for lunch called Tisfris, just along from the Rembrandthuis, and across from the Sluyswacht, at Sint Antoniesbreestraat 142.
