Finally, I think I've figured out how to put in a link to my Dotophoto album for Amsterdam that doesn't require a password. Will you please tell me if it works for you? http://www.dotphoto.com/go.asp?l=mta...mp;AID=1062311

Thanks for asking. We have not made our reservations as yet. We are just back from Dublin, Provence and Paris. May stay stateside this fall--looking over SC/GA and or Monticello, VA
If I can help you with Ireland, Francerovence or Paris just call on me. I do not clutter this forum with my trip reports but would be glad to share any if you provide your e-mail address.
Good luck.

I like the hotel Fita. They are very nice people. Breakfast is good, they can also do your laundry, a + for me since I travel with a "carry on". It is our home when we go to amsterdam. The hotel is about one block away from Van Gogh museum and from public transportation, also from shopping and restaurants. One friend from Harlem told us the hotel is in a very nice area and I agree. The noise from the kids @ school is not bad, and if you are noise sensitive do as I do: travel with ear plugs, (I do it all the time). That way you can enjoy the life out your window without the noise.

Anthony, we were in Ireland/Scotland in 2002 and Provence/Italian Riviera/Lake Como/Switzerland in 2003. Going to Rome in October, with a side trip to Cortona (revisiting some places from 2001), and back to Scotland in 2005. Thanks for the offer. When people question why we travel as much as we do, I just reply, "It's a big world out there - someone's gotta' see it." Truly hope you get to Amsterdam and The Canal House.

train times Amsterdam-Delft: www.ns.nl: look for "reisplanner"
gives prices too: mind: if you buy from a ticket window, there is a surcharge of 0.50 euro to your ticket: best to buy from a ticket machine.
Delft is great: it's got a great museum on Indonesian art: Nusantara, which is next to the Prinsenhof.
