Just wanted to report back the great success of this trip. We took a town and county tour and the Radisson shipped our aged family members out to Centraal station and staff were very kind sorting out wheeled Zimmer frame access (Netherlands seems unaware of EU legislation stretching back 35 years).

Still weather was 30C and the handicapped only gave up on one part of the cheese/ clog/windmill tour. Taxi back to Radisson €45!

Still an early supper in the Guardian Angel ( see earlier) was fab. Great food and Belgian beer to die for.

They are now off up the Rhine while Mrs Bilbo and I just ate Nepalese and yet more Belgian beer. ( I hear Dutch beer is almost ok but the barman in the oldest bar in town scoffed at the idea).

Dutch cheese continues to under impress, why do they try so hard to make it....

Oh good! Just adding that access for people with disabilities in NL is generally below par.

Glad your trip worked out. On the tangent of beer, I was in Amsterdam last year, and the craft beer was excellent (if a little expensive)

Isn't that a Heineken bar? In which case their Belgian brands are better than their Dutch.
Real craft beer is excellent in the Netherlands, and there are more breweries in the Netherlands than in Belgium and many produce excellent beers.
