Amsterdam Airport Hotel
Appreciate any thoughts/recommendations for hotel close to Schipol that has a restaurant, reasonable prices (below the luxury level) and limo service to the airport. European style would be a plus. Thanks much!

Well there is the ETAP and adjacent IBIS - IBIS has a restaurant, ETAP just a breakfast place but you can use the other obviously - IBIS a step up from ETAP - i've stayed at the ETAP - nice enough - modern, etc. And frequent shuttle buses right to the terminals - out front - www.accorhotels.com
Cheapest option i found right in vicinity of airport.

At Schiphol you have several hotels actually within the airport - the Sheraton, Yotel, Citizen M and Mercure.
The Etap and Ibis as Palenque says are close by and the Ibis has a restaurant. I haven't used the restaurant, but the rooms are very nice, with no airport noise. The shuttle works well and is pretty quick.
There are others which are close and offer shuttles, not limos. If you do a search you will find plenty.
The Schiphol site is paired down at the moment due to the chaos of Icelandic ash but it still offers a link to airport hotels.

Hotel Mercure is inside the airport, behind customs. This means you need no shuttle from / to the hotel. More information:

As long as you don' t need it today, you are fine. Due to Volcanic ash clouds, no air traffic in Europe today. All hotels are fully booked.

Stayed at Mercure Schiphol airport hotel on Apr 23rd. 95 euros. Spacious room and very quiet. In the airport. Nice people at the desk. Room was very clean. Several places for a meal and drink very close. No worry about transport to airport because you are already there!
