American breakfast in Florence

I've just been asked about a certain place in Florence that has a real american bacon and eggs breakfast. For the life of me I can't remember the name. I have some friends spending 2 weeks in Italy and he knows he will want a real breakfast at least once in his travels. I'm hoping some Florence people will know the place I'm talking about.

Caffé Gilli on Piazza della Repubblica & Caffe Maioli, just over the Ponte Vecchio both offer an American breakfast on their menu - haven't tried it though.

Try living here in S.Korea! I would kill for a "real" hamburger, or a real american breakfast of bacon and eggs! I have to "smuggle" microwave bacon in from the states. My sis and I will definitely go to the diner for that bacon and egg breakfast in Florence next month. On a bright note: our Macdonald's now serves breakfast! Who ever thunk that I'd be this excited over Mickey D's!
