Amazon did not send my Plan de Paris in time for my trip!

Help me if you can. I ordered a Plan de Paris de Arrondisment (the comprehensive book form of the Paris map) and they did not send it in time for my trip. Where will I most easily find one to buy when I get to Paris? I have previously borrowed one from friends for other trips, but want my own this trip.

Thanks in advance

Among other places, you can get a Plan de Paris (and other useful materials) at the W. H. Smith English bookstore on the Rue de Rivoli.

You can buy one at any bookstore. Sometimes you can find them at the larger news kiosks, also. There are a lot of different publishers and versions of that. Some are a lot more convenient and smaller to carry around than others (I have a couple small paperback ones which I carry around with me and have never bought the actual bigger "book" version one).

Bookstores have the best selection of the different styles/publishers, like FNAC. The Joseph Gibert bookstore on bd St Michel a few blocks south of the Seine also has many in their travel section.

I stopped by a news kiosk on Blvd St Germain and saw a few versions; bought mine there. Fits into my jeans pocket.

There are kiosks/bookstores at CDG that sell this sort of stuff, you could also pick up an Officiel des Spectacles and/or Pariscope magazones (small format)for listing of next week's events,etc...I believe they both have an English section.

Any "Relay" (kiosk) at CDG will sell several versions of a Paris map, either the old-fashioned Plan d'Arrondissement, or the more practical and updated Michelin one.

As I recall, it is brown covered, paperback. The ones I have used are about 5 inches by 7 inches. Every street, alleyway, nook and cranny appear in this map and that is why I love it.

There are many versions of this book. Ihave at least six - a brown leather one with gold swirl font that has all kinds of special features, a bright orange spiral-bound hard paperback one that's very basic, a larger blue paperback that's got a super index....etc. They all serve slightly different purposes and are all useful.
RLUCIDO - I trust you've requested a refund from Amazon. Shippers are required to send their products out within 2 business days or you're entitled to one. Sometimes the USPS does mess up, but you can still get a refund.

Try Le petit parisien- trois Plans par arrondissement, which contains a street plan, and metro map and a bus map for each arrondissement. It also gives market days and location, post office stations, museums etc.

Out of idle curiosity I just checked amazon. I see that they show that this item is a special order and is usually shipped in one or two MONTHS! I guess it's bwtter to get it from one of the independent vendors who sell through the Amazon site.
