Leely : You're right. Especially the African night sky. The sight of millions of stars from the unpolluted (light) darkness and quiet of the African wilderness is one of natures sweet wonders. I can just imagine how the contestants must have spent their 12 hours at that pit stop, and I'm jealous !
I remember visiting a National Park with vast open spaces of barren nothingness, much like their previous pitstop, where they slept on beds in the open air. I was a young teen then and the first 'Star Wars' movie had just come out, and I remember pretending that I was Luke Skywalker racing around Tatooine (a desert planet, if you're familiar with the movie) while driving around in our jeep !!! Oh foolish youth - though I'm still a Star Wars fan, though not of the recent episodes.

I was sorry to see the brothers go -they were probably the goofiest racers yet and, as such, fun to watch.
I also thought that they must have cut Ron using the "F" word. It does seem hard to believe that she would get that wrong.
Also, I admit that I like Rob. I think he has a sense of humor about himself and that a lot of what he says is tongue-in-cheek. As villains go on a reality show, he is pretty weak, and I don't think people would dislike him so much if they did not have preconceived notions from Survivor. I think even his critics would admit that he unlike so many of the males that we see on this show, has treated Amber with nothing but respect. They seem supportive of one another.

Certainly not Dik-dik as mentioned above... they are just so tiny.
To me they looked like female Impala, but it was so quick and I was in the middle of something else... sorry to say my concentration wasn't as it should have been. But I still have it on tape, so will check when I can.
Definitely missing was an African sky... the most amazing at sunset and sunrise, and those billions and billions of stars. We know what a dream it was for the teams to sleep under that sky the previous night in the Kalahari. Just writing this, my heart is going thumpa! thumpa!

Not that I want AR7 to end anytime soon, but does anyone know the date of the season finale? Asking because hubby and I are headed to Budapest at the end of May and hope not to miss the finale. Actually picked Budapest for our trip due to seeing it on AR6 and it looked - well - amazing !!

I find the comments here interesting. We are all basing our opinions on a tiny bit of information. I'm sure all the contestants say things that would be seen as rude or stupid or derogatory, or unflattering at some point in the game. We are seeing what the show wants us to see -- and that is a few minutes out of each person's day. They set the stage. They have a lot to do with forming our opinions.

Great to see the game in their natural surrounds. Sad the brothers are out of it. Ron and Kelly I doubt will make it through with all the tension there is. Meridith and Grechen well done again, even with a slip up. India next week should be interesting!

I think there is only 1 flight a day from Maun to Johannesburg so they might all end up on the same flight, will then be interesting to see if they all end up on the South African non stop flight Johannesburg to Mumbai or whether they use the Emirates connection over Dubai.

Anybody watch the rehash last night? Nothing earthshattering really, but was interesting to see bits a pieces from the start of this race. It did, however, reinforce my strong feelings about that pompous ass, Rob, with Amber running a close second.

As Lennon said, "All I want is some truth -- just give me some truth." So let's all just let our hair down, embrace our mantra and say it:
"We hate to love Rob -- but really, we DO..."
OK then. THAT was cathartic!

I can't say that I love him, but I do find them to be good players who always treat each other well.
I'll be happy if either R&A, Uchenna & Joyce or - and I can't believe I'm writing this because they annoy me so much sometimes - Meredith & Gretchen win.

They annoy you how--by being kind and considerate to one another, by trying harder than any of the others because they're older, by minding their own business, and being nice to all the other teams?
They annoy you and hotshot Rob doesn't.
I'll never understand the reasoning of that dichotomy!

I don't really care very much who wins but again Rob and Amber won a trip for coming in first. I don't understand the time that Lynn and "what's his name" came in first that they are the only ones that received nothing. I don't get it and if I were them I would be totally ticked off. I'm glad the older couple are still in it at this point and I think they have a lot of courage and tenacity to still be there inspite of what happened in the cave and messing up on the road block. Her injuries, although far from life threatening, had to be painful and she worked through it with good spirits and humor..I give them both kudos for that.
