Amalfi Coast, Tuscany and Umbria
I hope you can help. We have 2 weeks and flying to Rome, take train to Sorrento with a stop in Pompei. We also like to see Herculium and Naples museam and possibly hike to Mt. Vesuvius. Then plan to move to Positano. From Positano we want to walk Path of Gods, next day a trip to to Capri and after a boat trip of Amalfi coast with a visit to either Ravello or Amalfi towns.
Then we will take train to Florence (2nd time). Want to spend some time there, see other towns. We also would like to spend a couple of days in Thermal spa town and eventually get back to Rome. We are giving up a car in Orvietto. So our plans between Florence and Orvietto are not defined. Could get help on how many days to spend in Sorrento and Positano. Also any suggestions for a spa and a base between Florence and Orvietto.
Day 1 Fly to Rome - train to Naples, visit Pompeii (luggage in storage) train to Sorrento - sleep Sorrento
Day 2 Train to Herculium then train to Naples museum - sleep in Sorrento
Day 3 Ferry or Bus to Positano - Path of the Gods - sleep Positano
Day 4 Capri - sleep Positano
Day 5 Amalfi Coast (either boat or bus) to Ravello and Amalfi - sleep Positano
Day 6 Train to Florence sleep Florence
Day 7 Florence - sleep Florence
Day 8 Florence to Siena - sleep Siena (rent a car)
Day 9 Spa Town
Day 10 Spa Town
Day 11 ?
Day 12 Orvieto
Day 13 to Rome
Day 14 fly home
Thank you in advance, PK

IMO, the most beautiful region in Tuscany is the Val d'Orcia. Stunning countryside. Much more scenic than Chianti. We've spent several months there. Here is a spa hotel in our favorite village in the Val d'Orcia.

Should be nice!
Have you already booked your flights? If not, consider flying into Naples and out of Rome.
I don’t know how your timing on Day 1 would work – visiting Pompeii can easily take 6 or 7 hours (or more!). Will your flight arrive sufficientily early to allow that?
You mentioned hiking Mt. Vesuvius – I’m not sure when you would be able to do that.
For your day on the Amalfi Coast, consider taking ferries early in the day and buses later – it can be nice to see the area from both land and sea, and buses run later in the day.
Also note that you are unlikely to be able to see all of the highlights of both Amalfi and Ravello on a single day, so think through your priorities in advance.
BTW, Capri is, IMO, much more pleasant after day-trippers have left, so if you do re-arrange your itinerary, consider spending a night on the island.
Hope that helps!
