Amalfi Coast Question

Okay, this is a puzzler for anyone familiar with the Amalfi Coast. There is a hotel, literaly on the side of a cliff -- you get to it via an elevator I believe. Somewhere between Revello and Naples (I know that's a lot of ground to cover) but it also used to be a monastary. Does anyone know the name. I keep thinking it's something like La Badia or something. Please help, I want to stay there next time we go.

I have stayed at Santa Caterina which is in Amalfi that has an elevator that takes you down the side of a cliff to their pool area. The hotel is right on the cliff also. Not sure if that is the one you mean.

You might be thinking of the Hotel Cappuccini Convento in Amalfi

This is too obvious surely? It's the San Pietro.

The Hotel Luna Convento dates back to the 9th century, on the coast road south of Positano. Check the web... www.infohub.com/Articles/20010115.html. for one description aout the hotel and the Cooking School. BTW
as youprobably know...almost everything is on the side of the cliff.

Thank you everyone. I can picture it in my mind but I can't find the tiny bit of paper where I wrote down the name. I will check all these places out. By the way, last month's Bon Apetite had an article on making your own Limoncelo (forgive my spelling if wrong; I already butchered Ravello). Thank you, everyone.

The Cappucini Covento has an elevator which goes to the beach to the main hotel. It is in Amalfi. We stayed there in 1998. The hotel has it's good and less good points. For more info, you are welcome to send me mail.
