A bit too early for swimming but you have a better chance on the Amalfi Coast. I wouldn't visit the CT for swimming at any time. Both meet your interest in natural beauty, scenic views, etc.

Besides the weather favoring the AC, the beaches there are nicer than in CT, IMHO.

Personally, I wouldn't travel to the Amalfi Coast for just 3 nights. In contrast, I think that time frame well suited for the Cinque Terre. But, as already noted, the CT would not be a good choice if swimming is a priority.

Thank you all

Swimming is not a priority. We are looking for a beach which is ALL SCENIC, GREEN & BEAUTIFUL.

Maybe take a boat trip and an hour of snorkellin/swimming

So, is AC the best option and if yes, what should be my base point to explore the area

By the way, if traveling End of May to Rome, Venice & AC, what temperatures should i be expect

Cheers

For what it's worth, I don't think I'd go to the Amalfi coast for any more than 3 days max, unless I wanted to finish writing a book, so you should be able to enjoy the scenery and beaches there just fine within 3 days.

The waters of the Amalfi and the nearby islands are famously blue. If your preference is for green, maybe you want to stay near this:

Not recommending this company, but here is an overall picture of underwater/snorkeling options in the Amalfi

Some years it is cool and rainy in May, but most years it is pleasantly warm-ish spring weather during the day, cooler at night and water/sea temps can be chilly.

I could spend a month on the AC, but three days is better than nothing.

I just hope the three days don't include the travel day, because it takes about 3 hours to get there from Rome.

You should know that the beaches aren't that great. Most of them are tiny coves or swaths of sand, even stone piers. Sometimes people swim off the side of their boats.

The water is absolutely gorgeous, the scenery is unforgettable, and the food is some of the best I've ever had on any trip.

My family always bases in Positano which I think is the most charming and beautiful of the AC towns. It does have two beaches, one in town that's only OK, and Fornillo Beach, which is about a half mile walk from the town dock.

End of May/early June is typically great weather, but water temps may still be chilly.
