Amalfi Coast in November?

Hi!
I'm considering a tour of the Amalfi coast and Rome in November.
I was wondering if it's an okay time to go. I realize it's not summer, but is it still lively and fun?

Thanks!
Jane

Rome will be. Amalfi coast will be a beach resort off season - some things closed, too cool to swim and ferries running depending on the weather and how high the seas are. I would do Florence instead.

Thanks for your reply!
I was wondering about things being closed. It would be such a bummer not to have fun at night, which I like.

Have you been to Morocco? There's a trip that starts in Spain for a few days and then down to Morocco. It's November. What do you think?

Thanks!

Many restaurants and shops will be closed...and it will be VERY quiet...and possibly raining. (that said, I was there last Nov. and I love it off-season!) Naples will still be lively and fun!

I like Morocco as well...but for nightlife? not my first choice...after all, it IS a Muslim country (i.e. not a bar scene unless things have changed a whole lot since I was there!) If you are looking for nightlife in the off-season, stick with the larger cities - in Italy, Rome and Naples certainly are always lively (and, I'm assuming Spain too - in cities...I was on the Costa del Sol once in early May and it was DEAD - beach weather...but DEAD...hence my trip down to Morocco ;-) ) Rather than Amalfi itself, Salerno and Sorrento do have a bit of a fun nightlife year-round.
