Amalfi boat help needed

Hi everyone

Long story but last minute trying to put together details for honeymoon and getting very confused. I would like to take a boat ride from the coast, see the coastline, some grottos, maybe the blue but i know its a wait and water could be choppy etc . Spend a few hours on Capri/Anacapri. Boat ride back stopping to swim. Due to schedule changes i think i will be in positano one night and praiano for 2. Oh and it will be Sept 7-10, but i am leaving the US 8/28 - I am running out of time and can't figure out all these logistics. I keep reading this trip is weather dependent - is that an issue in September? Do any boats leave from Praiano? Do i wait until i get there and ask hotel to book something? Do i book a private boat? If so which one? I don't mind being on a boat with others - just not 50 others, after all it is my honeymoon so I want some romance. I know you all say don't over think it, but its my nature and i don't want to miss out on doing this. Please help

I do hope someone here can provide the answers you need, but in the meantime, think about sending a more specific inquiry to your hotels. Ask for prices, too.

Also, I do believe bad weather can cancel a boat trip any time of the year. September is generally a very nice month on the AC, but a storm can always disrupt plans. It shouldn't interfere with making an advance reservation, though.

Sounds like you want a private boat with guide - ferries carry many people and just buzz between ports. Neat to have private boat guide and stop where want - remote beaches, etc. Yes contact your hotel. Sounds neat and for once in lifetime worth spending tons of money on. What is your budget for such a private boat tour?

Budget for private boat - i don't know $5-$600? Is that doable? Can anyone recommend private companies that are good and will allow us to customize? Bonus points if they pick up in praiano

Or consult any decent guidebook.
Good luck!

Thanks I have read many guidebooks and they mostly talk about how to get to capri or boats leaving from capri but nothing like I am looking for. I was hoping someone on here might have done such a thing and have first hand experience.

€2500 for full day boating outing on Amalfi coast?

I remembered that sometime ago, there were several threads about private boat trips on the AC, and tracked this one down. Often, people post asking for advice, but are not regulars about reading and responding to new questions and posters, so people who did these trips may not be here any more to help. However, the discussion on this older thread might still be of value.

Which side of Praiano, Amalfi coast: Gavitella side or Marina did Praia?

This current thread also has boat rental information.

Salvatore no longer runs this company but the new crew I hear is fabulous. They will design the tour you want. If they are anything like the brothers, it will be the best day of your life!
