OMG kawh, I feel exactly the same way about the sound of the waves! It's so soothing and pleasing to the ears!
At the very least, if we are travelling to places on the water, I want a waterview.
So 2 nights it is, which part of Capri do you recommend? Or would Anacapri be better?

I think after being in a hotel room for 4 days with DD, it will be nice to spread out in an apt for a bit!

Update: DS spoke to his work about the trip and he may be able to make it after all! So glad I had not cancelled my Croatia bookings yet tho' I am feeling sad at the thought of postponing the Amalfi coast. But I will probably have a wider choice of accommodations if I plan ahead for next year, hopefully we can make that happen! Thanks for all the input, will be useful information for my future trip to the Amalfi coast!
