Amafi Coast hidden gems for Honeymoon?
b/c, wow, July is an EXPENSIVE month.
even the mid-range rooms are in the mid $300's.
i think we may even be priced out of Positano. ~$2,500 for 5 nights is just a bit too rich for my blood.
kind of a bummer. i knew it'd be pricey but yikes.

Maybe the Parsifal in Ravello -- but note that Ravello (magnificent Ravello!) is not a good base for the area, as it is a bus-ride away from Amalfi, and those buses get busy! But if your goal is just to relax or see one or two sights....

Assuming your reservation can be cancelled, did you consider an apartment? For a 5 night stay it has lots of advantages. Summer in Italy and AirBnB are good places to look. Many of these apartments have private terraces and swimming pools.
If you can't cancel your booking, don't look back. It's fine.

it can be cancelled, yes!
i will look at AirBnB.
after sleeping on it i was having second thoughts. $2,050 EURO is not exactly a frugal 5-night stay.
even if not AirBnB the Hotel Margherita is half the cost of the Punta Regina.
