Altamira Cave museum in Santillana del Mar
Has anyone visited the museum since it is impossible to get into the caves themselves? I will be visiting there on Holy Friday, April 9 and wonder if I should buy tickets online or wait till we arrive. How much time is needed to see the museum? Thanks for the help.

I went there two years ago and found a very good job. There are two parts in the museum one is the museum itself and the other one is a copy of the caves.
Both are impressive and really put you in the times of Altamira.
I visited the caves some 25 years ago and the museum and cave copy are a better visit. Apart from the other ones been the original ones.
You will need 2/3 hours for the visit and do not wait until your get there or you risk waiting for many hours or even not visiting that day.

not easy to use, I think I called directly the museum and they booked them on the phone with my ID and they hold it till one hour before. No bookings for Sundays.

Barbarita,
You can also try purchasing your tickets here. Tickets still available for April 9. Click on date then choose your session.
