Alhambra Tours
I'm looking at booking at Alhambra Tour for January /26. Reading back on the threads I've taken note of, I understand that Margarita is the guide to try to get, and this is the site to book with: Alhambra tours - Guided visits to Alhambra. Do you get a choice of guide once you book, or are you assigned one upon booking? I'll likely have more questions, but the main reason for the trip is to see the Alhambra so thought I'd start with this question. Thank you!

Another question concerning timing. If I book a tour later in the day (14h or 15h), will it be starting to get dark ( thus getting a sort of evening tour?), or do you recommend a daytime tour and a separate evening visit?

Good morning. We booked through Margarita and she has another group on the day we wanted to go. That being said she recommended Fabiola and had her do our tour, She was amazing and we enjoyed every minute of our tour, I say this because if your can’t get Margarita try to get Fabiola,
We booked our tour at opening time. It was a bit quieter and gave us the time we needed. It was really one of my favorite places we explored,.
Alhambra tours - Guided visits to Alhambra was how I contacted Margarita for availability. I just told her the date and time in my email and asked if she was available.
Have fun

My recommendation is to start as early as you can so you can stay as long as you like and to visit again that evening. I found an evening visit quite different from a daytime visit -- there are far fewer people in the evening and, at least when I was there, everyone was very quiet. Quiet enough that I could hear the water. It was magical! I used the audioguide for my daytime visit. I got there as it opened and was just finishing up when they closed at the end of the day, and then I returned for the evening visit.

Thank you @paqngo and @kja. I look forward to it! For a couple of reasons, I’ve had to postpone this trip for now but hoping it will work out for late /26. We also should have a little longer to spend in Andalusia than we would have had this time. Planning will be fun, and I do appreciate the Alhambra info!
