Alexander's Boutique Hotel in Oia
We just started researching a trip to Greece for the end of May 2005. In checking tripadvisor.com for hotel recommendations for Santorini, Alexander's Boutique Hotel of Oia is #3 in "popularity". There are 14 absolutely wonderful recommendations and one "not so great" comment. A web search results in only these comments and the hotel's site.
I'm basically not a trusting soul and usually look for more than one site recommending a hotel before I consider it. These 14 reviews almost sound too good! On the other hand, I'd hate to dismiss someplace wonderful because I doubt the sincerity of all of these reviews.
Has anyone ever stayed at this place, or even heard of it?

Did you get any replies to your question about Alexander's Boutique? Did you go ahead and book it? We are also considering booking it for a trip in May this year. As you say it does seem very popular on Tripadviser but there is no other mention of it.

Judy-
I'd like to recommend to you the most unique and special accomodations I've found in Oia, the Aspaki Suites. I toured them last May along with Esperas, Perivolas, Katikies, Oia Mare, VIP Suites and The Residence. Aspaki is the best of the lot for location, view and creatively designed interiors. I hope you'll take a look at their website before you decide, they're really fantastic:
