hello -- it isn't very far, so if you take a private car or van of some kind, it only takes about 20 minutes or so, as I recall. I think it's about 15 km or 10 miles.
The cost should be around 500-600 CK for a private car arranged by a hotel. If you get into a group airport van which takes you to your hotel, it will be less--I think around 200-300 CK. TSome airport group vans that take one to a central drop point are only around 100 CK.

We got a car service for about $25, which for two persons was close to the cost of public transportation into the city and a cab to the hotel from there. The traffic on the way in in the AM is fierce so it's 45 to 60 minutes. An early morning (7:30) ride to the airport was about 30 minutes. Courteous competent drivers, new Mercedes. Less hassle and not a splurge.

Where in Prague are you heading to and are you looking to travel more cheaply or more efficiently to your destination?
What your main priority is will determine your best method of transport.
I think the cost of a bus/metro combination was something like 12Kc.
