I usually have the best luck 3-4 weeks in advance.
then again, I usually don't know I am going anywhere, until 3-4 weeks in advance. it just kinda POPS into my head and off I go.
try looking in late September. if you ever get below 600 though, buy! Italy is not cheap even off season. a few years ago I paid nearly 600 for winter travel - and that was a bargain.

Lifetravel - I was checking the cheap flights forum on eurotrip.com and Don mentioned a great fare he saw on Travelocity. I found the fare by using the flexible travel dates. I also found the fare available on the NWA website. We ended up booking with a TA since we had travel voucher, and she had no problem getting the fare. Unfortunately that sale is over, but keep trying. Check eurotrip.com as Don periodically posts sales he finds. He just posted a sale that is up today.

We got tix from Memphis to Milan for the end of May for 495 a pop on Orbitz. However, if we even so much as breathed on our travel dates or arrival cities, the fare shot up. don't know if that helps, but you may want to try plugging everything that could be possible into the search. Good luck.

Yes, it is "reasonable", even it is not a world record for lowest price ever obtained in September for ths route. I like to think about "upside/downside" risk for a period of time on a ticket like this - - less than 120 days away - - I would rate the risk at -$100 / +$700
Meaning that if you are vigilant for the next 60 days, you MIGHT find it $100 cheaper. And if you are "asleep at the wheel" and wait 60 days, never finding anything cheaper, you might find yourself facing $700 more expensive.
Best wishes,
Rex

Hi Robbie,
LUCKY YOU.
Air France has a special on Miami/Paris for TWO People for $605.
From Paris Orly you can fly to Venice on www.volareweb.com for 40E each.
Or you can continue on to Venice from CDG via AF for 180 each.

Husband is being persnickety (spelling?) and does not want to travel Iberia or Air France. Feels American and Italian airlines will have better security. I do see fares going a bit lower now and I told him I am going to book for October within the next two weeks. Going crazy checking and checking.
