After Rostock : Schwerin/Wismar or Stralsund/Greifswald ?

Those little towns look very quaint and nice but you're right, the most exciting thing going there seems to be a Pferdemarkt in Havelberg. I dunno, I think I need more city life. I really thought that Stralsund is a major city,it was always on my radar in the back of my head.
Thanks for the Freiberg suggestion, I've decided to encourage my friend to visit Dresden while I'm in Rostock so I won't be on the train for too many days. I'm dreading the 3 hour plus train ride to Rostock after landing in Tegel. I wish there is an ICE train to Rostock. Thanks again for all the thoughtful suggestions.
