Aegean Airlines Delays?

Does anyone know if Aegean Airlines frequently has delays?

I'm booked on a 12o PM flight from Santorini arriving in Athens at 1:20 PM and have to connect to a 3 PM Air France flight...now I'm regretting it and thinking that it won't be enough time to retrieve our bags and make it in time.

Thoughts?

Olympic Airlines is the one with the reputation for delays, not Aegean. No one can predict what will happen, but in any case you're cutting it a bit too close for comfort if in fact there is a delay. If you can get an earlier flight, do it.

I was wondering about a connection I had to make coming from venice, through to Rome on Alitalia & then making a flight on Aegean out to Santorini.

Our flight comes into Athens at 17:05 on Alitalia & then leaves for Santorini at 19:00. Most people on here told me I would be fine with that connection. Apparently Athens airport has only one terminal so you don't have a long way to walk (it soounds like).

Also- I emailed both Aegean & Athens airport & they both told me they thought it should be fine. I'm not sure if there would be more for you to do in the way of customs/security than I. I wouldn't think so as I'm coming from Italy & you would be going to France.... but what do I know?

Now if Alitalia is delayed...I gigure even if they are delayed one hour, that still gives me about an hour to catch my next flight. One person on here told me there would be little for me to do but collect my bags & check in. When are you going? I'm there at the end of May & was also told that since it isn't "high tourist" season that would also help. (not as much lines to wait in)

Ahhhh....that is the day we are getting to Europe (Rome) to start our vacation. Spending 5 days there then off to Venice for 2 nights then we fly to Santorini through Rome & then Athens. Hope all goes well!

One important factor is whether you are ticketed point to point through your connections. If you're ticketed point to point, then the issuing airline should be responsible for seeing that your connection meets minimum connection time standards and should help you out if you miss the connection. If you bought two totally unrelated tickets, I'd advise you to allow at least 24 hours for the connection -- i.e., stay over at least one night at the connecting airport, since missing the connection would be a terrible hassle.
