advice on le marche/ abbruzo

Ok, we're doing it! Heading to Le Marche next week with our two children in tow.

Besides Urbino, what are the must-sees? Must-eats? Must-visits?

We are returning to Rome via Abbruzo. Has anyone visited the area around L'Aquila since the earthquake this spring?

Thanks! Also, we are staying a couple of nights at San Simeone too, on the advice of several postings here. Looks wonderful.

The website marche voyager will be a big help to you.

They just had the G-8 near l'Aquila, so there is nothing post-earthquake to interfere with going there.

Txtree: If you are interested in food, I would recommend the book by Matthew Fort entitled "Eating Up Italy." There is quite a bit of information on food/restaurants in those areas and beyond.
