Forgot about that. My husband, who likes anything sausage, tried the curry wurst and was of the same opinion.

The KaDeWe is more of the size of G/L Paris, and absolutely spectacular! We'd gone in just for a quick "look around" and couldn't leave. The restaurants/bars at the top . . . made the Harrod's Food Halls look like a poor relation.

"A nice Christmas market is just around your corner on Gendarmenmarkt. You need to pay a nominal entrance fee, but that keeps it from getting too crowded."

I'm not sure when you went Cowboy but I think the fee goes toward the nice white stall tenting and the entertainment. Gendarmenmarkt has been wall to wall with revelers both times I went (evening).
